Food is high on travellers' lists of priorities as getting to know the food of a country is essential to the full appreciation of its culture. Foreigners, however, seldom have the  opportunity to find the best restaurants, markets, and home cooks. Language is often a barrier as is unfamiliarity with the geography and mores of a new place. My knowledge of and enthusiasm for the food, culture, and languages of the Mediterranean basin have inspired me to inaugurate a programme of culinary tours to various countries around the Mediterranean.

 

Anissa's next culinary tour to Syria is from 3 to 12 November. We will be posting details very soon.

More culinary tours to Syria, Turkey and Morocco are scheduled for spring and autumn 2011 and dates and details will be posted at the end of 2010.
